Welcome to the first blog post of August from your community of apartments in Northwest Houston! We’re so you came back to read our second month of blogs, and we’re excited about the list of tips we’ve got for you this week. In the post below, we’ll be sharing some healthy living tips that you can use to feel good and look good throughout the rest of the summer and into the winter at San Cierra.
The thing about living healthy is that it’s an everyday thing. It’s not enough to eat a salad at lunch one day — you’ve got to repeat that habit for weeks before you’ll see any results. The other thing about healthy living is that it’s easier than people think. You don’t have to stick to a rigid workout regimen in order to be a healthy person. It’s more about comfort and well-being as it is about dieting and burning calories.
With that said, let’s take a look at the list of healthy living tips below! When you’re done reading through this list, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your community of Northwest Houston apartments.
Keep snacks at your desk
This first tip might sound a little counterintuitive, but it works if you keep healthy snacks at your desk. If you’ve ever worked hard right up until lunch time and felt the urge to reward yourself with fast food or a huge meal with co-workers, you know how dangerous it is to remain hungry all morning. The same is true for when you get off work, when you get home and dive into a bag of chips because you haven’t eaten in 5 hours. You can keep things a little more event throughout the day by eating healthy snacks like nuts, raisins or other dried fruit. Try it out, residents!
Buy an expensive water bottle
Hey, we said these were healthy tips not financial tips. By allowing yourself to buy a fancy water bottle, you make yourself that much more likely to keep your water bottle full and nearby all day long. If you’re having trouble drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water every day, give this shot!
Switch up your workout
ANyone who goes to the gym consistently knows about plateauing. If you do the same workouts every week, your body will eventually adapt and get used to them. You could be doing the same high-intensity workouts that you were doing when you first started, but you’ll stop breaking a sweat after a while. Be sure to switch things up every once in awhile by playing a sport for exercise, doing cardio instead of listing weights or swimming instead of jogging.
Those are all the healthy living tips we’ve got for you this week, residents! We hope that you enjoyed this week’s post, and that you’ve got the knowledge you’ve need to live your healthiest life this summer and fall at San Cierra.
