Tips for Organizing your Northwest Houston Apartments

  |     |   Uncategorized

The holiday season is fast-approaching, and that means your Northwest Houston apartments are about to be inundated with holiday decor, out-of-town guests and wrapping paper. It’s hard to stay organized during the holiday season, but it can be a little easier if you’re willing to follow this advice from the staff at San Cierra apartments.

In the blog post below, we’ll be sharing a few tips that should help you keep your place tidy this holiday season. Living in an apartment is all about making the most of your space, after all. It’s hard to feel like you’re living in the best version of your apartment if you’re constantly decluttering, sweeping and organizing. Set a day aside to organize your place with the tips below!

Without further delay, let’s get right to the list of ways you can organize your place. When you get done with this week’s post, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at San Cierra — the apartments Northwest Houston residents choose for contemporary comfort.

Make use of the space under your bed

It’s important to use the storage space under your bed because your bed takes up more floor space than any other piece of furniture in your home. You don’t have to buy an expensive bed frame with built in drawers, either! Instead, try packing your seasonal clothes or extra blankets into large plastic bags and stuffing them under there. Alternatively, you can buy some flat storage boxes and fit even more clutter under there. You’d be amazed at how much you can fit underneath your bed if you have the right storage equipment.

Use the backs of your doors

Next time you’re at the department store, head to the home section and grab some back-of-door storage pieces. We’re talking about the metal shelves and hangers that can hang on the back of your door and create a space for your towels, shoes, scarves or whatever else you might want to store. You can also do the same thing — just on a smaller scale — with the space on the backs of your cabinet doors. That space is perfect for pot and pan lids, extra dish towels and more!

Put the knick knacks away

The more knick knacks you have out on your shelves, the more dust they’ll collect and the more cluttered your place will seem. It’s hard to put sentimental things away, but sometimes it’s necessary. We’re not telling you to get rid of them, of course. Just put them in a box where they can’t collect dust!

With that, we’ve hit the end of our list of tidying up tips!
