Make use of the space under your bed

 

It’s important to use the storage space under your bed because your bed takes up more floor space than any other piece of furniture in your home. You don’t have to buy an expensive bed frame with built in drawers, either! Instead, try packing your seasonal clothes or extra blankets into large plastic bags and stuffing them under there. Alternatively, you can buy some flat storage boxes and fit even more clutter under there. You’d be amazed at how much you can fit underneath your bed if you have the right storage equipment.

 

Use the backs of your doors

 

Next time you’re at the department store, head to the home section and grab some back-of-door storage pieces. We’re talking about the metal shelves and hangers that can hang on the back of your door and create a space for your towels, shoes, scarves or whatever else you might want to store. You can also do the same thing — just on a smaller scale — with the space on the backs of your cabinet doors. That space is perfect for pot and pan lids, extra dish towels and more!

 

Put the knick knacks away

 

The more knick knacks you have out on your shelves, the more dust they’ll collect and the more cluttered your place will seem. It’s hard to put sentimental things away, but sometimes it’s necessary. We’re not telling you to get rid of them, of course. Just put them in a box where they can’t collect dust!
