Museums To Visit Near Apartments in Champions Forest

  |     |   Uncategorized

Houston is booming with a cultural and art scene. The Museum District has 19 museums and four zones where visitors can admire and take in some of the best art in the state. The zones include several museums that are in close proximity to each other so you can visit a few museums in one swoop. Drive over from your apartments in Champions Forest and it will be easy for you to take advantage of everything the Museum District has to offer.

Depending on what you’re looking for there are a number of museums in the area that feature free admission! If you’re looking for a cheap date or are on a budget these are definitely some ideas for you to consider.

Alright, let’s dive right in! When you’re done reading through the blog post below, please feel free to share the link to this post with your friends. Better yet, go ahead and share it with your neighbors at your community of apartments in 77070.

Contemporary Arts Museum

You’ll know this museum as soon as you see it. The iconic stainless steel building is located at the heart of the Museum District in Zone 3. Once inside you will be able to explore the two floors of the building that host six to eight exhibits. The Contemporary Arts Museum is a non-collecting facility, which means that it is always showcasing new works of art from national and international artists.

If you head over on a nice day outside, Art on the Lawn is a great area of the museum to spend some time. This ongoing series Art Outside the Box takes place outside and gives visitors another way to think about what art is really about. Be sure to snap some pics and share on social media!

Children’s Museum Of Houston

Ranked the No. 1 children’s museum in the U.S. this place is a must see. This museum is massive, taking up an entire city block, and features interactive and hands-on displays for children 0 to 12 years old.

The museum is designed for children and families to enjoy, so unfortunately adults are not allowed in without a child accompanying them. If you happen to be an aunt or uncle this would be a great place to take your niece or nephew if they are in town or visiting to rack up your cool points.

Cultural Museums

In addition to all of the amazing art museums in the Art District, Houston is also home to a number of cultural art museums. These museums do an amazing job at highlighting some of the groups and cultures that make up Houston’s vibrant culture. It was so hard to narrow it down for you that we thought we’d share a taste of a few of these museums for you.
